Len Goodman, the renowned head judge of the hit TV show “Dancing with the Stars,” passed away at the age of 78, according to a statement from his manager to ABC News. He had been battling bone cancer, and he passed away in a hospice in Kent, surrounded by his family.

A Man Who Kept Dancing with a Sense of Humor

Throughout his illness, Len Goodman maintained his sense of humor, proving himself a “true gentleman,” his manager said. Known for his wit and humor, Goodman endeared himself to fans of “Dancing with the Stars” and “Strictly Come Dancing,” the British reality competition show, where he also served as a judge.

The End of an Era

After 31 seasons, Goodman stepped down as head judge of “Dancing with the Stars” in November of 2022. At the time, he expressed his gratitude to the show’s family, saying that being part of such a fantastic production was a pleasure. However, he also revealed that he would be spending more time with his family and grandchildren in Britain.
