Nelson Agholor joins Baltimore Ravens in a one-year deal

The Baltimore Ravens have added another weapon to their already formidable offense by signing wide receiver Nelson Agholor, previously with the New England Patriots, according to a report by Jordan Schultz of The Score. The Pittsburgh Steelers secondary now has another challenge to face as Agholor joins the Ravens for the upcoming season.

Agholor’s two-year stint with the Patriots saw him start in 20 games, amassing 68 catches for 835 yards and five touchdowns. The Ravens have signed him to a one-year contract worth up to $6.25 million.

Despite approaching 30 years old, Agholor still possesses explosive deep threat capability that will be valuable to the Ravens as they work to build a more dynamic offense around quarterback Lamar Jackson. The addition of Agholor is part of the Ravens’ strategy to strengthen their offense and improve their chances of reaching a contract extension with Jackson.

The Steelers will now have to contend with Agholor’s speed and skill, adding yet another dynamic to their matchups against the Ravens. However, questions remain about the effectiveness of Baltimore’s offense in 2023 due to the uncertainty surrounding their quarterback situation.
