Liverpool Stumbles Again with 0-0 Draw Against Crystal Palace

Liverpool’s domestic form continues to struggle as they were held to a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Despite hitting the crossbar twice, Jurgen Klopp’s side looked “fragile” according to Sky Sports’ Jamie Redknapp, as they failed to recover from their 5-2 defeat by Real Madrid on Tuesday.

Liverpool missed a number of opportunities, with Diogo Jota nodding onto the crossbar in the first half and Mohamed Salah hitting the woodwork shortly after the break. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace impressed in large spells, but failed to register a shot on target, despite Liverpool’s questionable defence.

Jean-Philippe Mateta came close to scoring for Crystal Palace, hitting the post with a rifled effort, and they also missed other chances through Marc Guehi and Michael Olise. Ultimately, both teams lacked a cutting edge, leaving Liverpool in seventh place, six points behind the top four, while Crystal Palace remain in 12th after their third successive Premier League draw.
